Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, takes place on February 21st this year, along with National Pancake Day. Here's where to go for Mardi Gras in L.A. for 2023 - and I'm not talking about Louisiana :)

The Original Farmers Market is back with their 33rd annual Mardi Gras! Events include a Mutti Gras Pet Parade and Live Music from groups like the Bear Grass Band and Kenny Sara &The Sounds of New Orleans. You'll also find crafts for kids, like Tambourine Making. Lastly, the Food Feasting will include special dishes from The Gumbo Pot, like a Beignet Tent on the patio, as well as Louisiana Beer favorites at EB’s Beer and Wine.

Where and When: The event takes place the weekend of February 18th with the Pet Parade from Noon to 1 p.m. and the Food Feasting from Noon to 4 p.m., and then again on February 19th. There will also be a celebration on February 21st from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Check The Original Farmers Market website before you go, as some event is time-specific. Harold and Belle’s returns as one of the top spots to go for Mardi Gras in L.A. You can expect live music from stunners like the Grammy Award Winning Andrew Gouché, face painting and beads, and of course some spectacular food. Must-haves include Red Beans and Rice (Vegan also available) and Louisiana-style Catfish Nuggets. Lastly, sip on some Crowns and Hops local beer or a signature Hurricane.
